220 volt dc ssr

Hi,
Has anyone ever switched 220 volt dc on the dc ssr 4 chanel board.
Have looked at possible mosfet replacements:SPA11N65C3 or stp6nk50z.
Any ideas on whether these would work?
Reason for this is to switch 5 wire rope light and to reduce current draw by using 12 volt led strips.

In principle it can work.
Working with high voltages is not a good idea for the inexperienced DIY.
Where will you derive the 220VDC from?
Rectifying the line ac is a bad idea due to lack of neutral/line isolation issues.
A transformer for this purpose would a feaseable option.

I would prefer to beef up the current capacity for your 12V string by paralleling them rather than designing a 220VDC drive system.

The existing DCSSR design requires a 5v regulator to drive the opto and it surely won't work with 220v.
