Blowmolds and LED Bulbs...

Hi all,

I was wondering if folks out there are using LED bulbs to light their blowmolds. I bought some bulbs from CDI last year, but when used in blowmolds there is one intense, circular area of light at the bulb and the rest of the mold is kind of dim.

At first I thought it was due to the bulbs being faceted. I'm wondering if there are smooth, ceramic versions of the bulb attached. ?? If so, what is the effect in a blowmold?

I place a couple c9 led bulbs inside mine. Seem to light pretty evenly.

I bought a lot of the C7 ones from Ray at AliExpress last year and they work pretty much like a standard C7 bulb did. Maybe a bit dimmer but I love the energy saving and they dim just fine with LOR control.

I have modified some of my blowmolds though as they don't get enough light throughout the item depending on the mold. I made my angels with trumpets to use 3 bulbs and my choir people use two bulbs now (I use one C7 in the head and a regular 15 watt bulb in the body).
