Hi, this year I'm looking to display my Empire/GF Santa & Reindeer on the roof. Here are pictures if my roof. In regards, what is the best way to anchor them and display them so they won't fall off or blown off by winds?
The mounting depends on how many reindeer and the direction of the prevailing wind. If you look at my setup installed on the roof, the wind comes from the right hand side of the picture. If the wind were to hit the display broadside you may have to reinforce it more.
Wind variates in my area (I live on Long Island,NY). I am basically doing the 9 Reindeer (The 8 plus Rudolph). I was looking to do the Reindeer side to Side with Rudolph in the front. What materials did you use for your mount?
I only have rudolph not all 9 Reindeer. My base is plywood and 2x4 painted black with scrap carpet stapled to the bottom. The connection between the base and Rudolph is 3/4 pvc. If you put them on the ridge of the roof, you might want mount that saddles the ridge for each Reindeer. I used 8x16 paver blocks to weigh down the mount. Reindeer to Reindeer connections should have some extra slack to allow for blowing in the wind.
