So ,a friend asked:
Whats the least expensive way to run some GECE's that isn't one of the new wireless controllers?
AND... that can be purchased new. He run DMX via e1.31

Opinions/options..........

San Device E6804 would work. Its 100.00 in kit form, and of course, the E682 kit is 109.00 (plus shipping).

I tried but their contact us form has a bug and you can't select a subject from their dropdown box so it won't send the message. anyone got a real email address?
I know Ron's controllers state they only control WS2811, but he does mention he can add other format types with a firmware compile. I would ask him directly if he could do it on a 4 output controller. For 29$ it is hard to beat a controller capable of driving 2,728 pixels.

The renard website is a bit of a mess, I mentioned the messed up contact as well and had to contact Falcon on DIYC forum directly about a question on the board. The board is mis-labelled as a 4 universe controller, it should be labelled 4 universes per output.

So, in case anyone is following this. I contacted Ron directly and none of this products support GECE.

So... any other options besides the SanDevices units?
