HLS stops responding

I was working on my group of icicles today which is 800 pixels. I applied a solid blue background then applied a white twinkle effect to the foreground which is a 2 cell fade up followed by a 2 cell fade down. Everything was fine until I click display preview and then clicked play. The screen instantly fades and says hls has stopped responding then makes me close the program. It did this every time I made a change to a large number of pixels. Same problem with my 300 pixel minitrees. A couple times it crashed and when I opened it back up it has forgot which profile was assigned to it.

I think you are clicking too fast expecting things to be accomplished.

The more channels you get --- the more processing that needs to be accomplished.

When you ask to Preview -- do NOTHING until you see the Preview Window with Black pixels.

Attempting to do something prior to this can cause an issue.

I know of no reason that HLS would stall out.

The count dialog I put up is part of a process to process Window's message queue.

Windows expects its message queue to be processed often or it will give the "Not Responding" dialog.

HLS is working -- just not in a place to service the message queue.

SLOW down on you time expectations and I suspect all will be well.
