New Grinch chips? Allegros are discontinued.

Hi All,

I'm looking for the current chips we are using for the grinch controller, as the allegros I orignally bought way back when are discontinued. We have been loosing chips and we need spares fast.

I heard someone mention a MID chip? where is the source for those?

Thanks for the help!!!

Also, are the grinch chips very sensitive to static discharge? I can't think of any other reason why we're loosing them.

It looks like King Electronics still carries the MBI version chips:

The only problem with King Electronics was a large shipping fee (IIRC). So stock up now if you want to continue using the Grinch.

Just bought 10 mbi chips at Kings. Chris was very nice and had them in two days. He said he had plenty.
