I started planning in July and slowly purchasing components while trying to maintain a budget. It's been difficult but I've made good progress in learning through many different resources.
I purchased the K8-PB as my controller (with the BeagleBoard), a Meanwell LRS-350-12 volt Power Supply, and the enclosure, lights, cable glands, tree topper, etc. to create a 180 degree mega tree. I also purchased lights to outline my windows and front door for my small home.
I've attached a picture of my plan for the design of the lights with the mega tree. My problem is my lack of understanding with power injection. If I understand, I need to power inject every 120 nodes or at the end of the 240 node run. I only have 8 ports on the Kulp controller with 16 strings of lights on the mega tree and then all the other lights around the trees.
I need to know my options and what I need to buy to get the power sufficiently to each necessary connection. Any assistance would be really awesome!
