These are about as handy as it gets for prop templating .

I purchased two of em sight unseen for $80 and they both work perfectly .

Hi Dave

This has been a dream on the todo list for 10 yrs and wanted to give it my best effort .
I used 1/2" flat stock steel for this as it is near 7' tall and will have a 30' length of lights on it for this year.
For wire/metal gauge, I have selected 3 thicknesses of round stock steel to play with 3/16 , 1/4 and 5/16 .

I believe wire is merely a loose term as these props require a rigid metal to support having the weight of lights
or lights plus waterproofing materials attached to them .
