PICKit 4 issues

I am trying to program a PIC18F2525 for my TR8 Flex. The latest version on MPLAB X IPE v5.15 seems to be a better fit over the IDE version. However, the Renard Plus download seems to be a .7z file (RenardPlusAllInOneFirmware09042016.7z) that the IPE deems as an invalid hex. Even when I change the file suffix to .hex, it still seems invalid.

Any suggestions?

You need to install the 7zip program to extract the files from the compressed ZIP(7zip) file.
