Snowman drummer is getting closer

I said the drummer in my Snowman Orchestra would have sticks that moved.. Here is the contraption I just made. This is only slow.. they will do much faster with a couple of springs added.. Man I am so far behind.. I have not even put them in xLights yet.. The speed will be controlled thru xlights via DMX to an LOR DC controller.

Nice. I like the double tap action, although it will probably go away with the addition of springs.

I wanted to build a "Little Drummer Boy" this year, but it did not work out. Next year is looking better. My drum sticks will be driven by a pair of car lock actuaters via motor control board via Arduino. I saw a project on Instructables that I got my inspiration from. I designed a sketch that takes Vixen data that drive the sticks. With this setup. I can control the sticks individually with their own Vixen channel.
