Can anyone recommend a stand alone DMX controller to control rgb lights and floods for backyard landscaping accents. We want to have some simple control of rgb lighting around my house without running my computer. My wife wants to be able to control color. maybe cycle thru colors.
Thanks.

The Helix is a stand alone controller that can control four DMX universes. You can read more at: http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?65-Helix-Show-Controller or www.helixlightcontroller.com

You may want to clarify your situation. For example;
Do you already have all the lights?
How many lights are DMX and RGB?
How many lights need to be individually (or grouped) control/coloured?
Are the control signals hardwired from a central source?
How do you want to control the lights, panel slider or knob, remote?
Power requirements - battery? electrical power?
If you don't narrow down your requirements then we can only flood you with suggestions that may go nowhere.

I found the Panther DMX player to be what I needed. http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?board=53.0
I have a string of DMX RGB floodlights around my yard (think Malibu lighting but with RGB) All are connected with a 4 conductor cable, 2 for power and 2 for signal. I developed a light sequence, with Vixen if I remember correctly, and loaded it onto a memory card. Installed it in the player and it runs on a loop. The player is mounted in the same box as the power supply. It is a customizable alternative to this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...ote-Control-For-LED-RGB-Strip/1900121884.html
Thanks to all for suggestions
