Vixen controlling a D-light control.

I have been using Vixen to control the D-light controller since 2007.
It works fine, but now I have lost some files.
I need to know what plugin is used to control the D-light controller, and what the settings are.

Open one of your sequences with WordPad. Inside somewhere will be a section that looks something like the following example. The PlugIn name is was you're looking for.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TYPE OR CHANGE ANYTHING ON THE SCREEN -- ONLY USE WORDPAD TO VIEW THE FILE. Then close it and answer NO to save the file.

<PlugInData>
<PlugIn name="Renard Dimmer (modified)" key="935429715" id="0" enabled="True" from="1" to="240">
<name>COM3</name>
<baud>57600</baud>
<parity>Mark</parity>
<data>8</data>
<stop>Two</stop>
<ProtocolVersion>1</ProtocolVersion>
<HoldPort>True</HoldPort>
</PlugIn>
</PlugInData>

The renard Dimmer (modified) did not work.
Checked the sequences and it was the same as what you posted.

Well, try different communication parameters, and if it still doesn't work, try a different plugin. Perhaps the generic serial might work. Looks like you'll have to do some experimenting on your own...

...all part of the DIY experience....

Hi dirknercle:

I guess I was not paying attention to the d-light controller.
The renard dimmer (modified) does see the controller.
Red light on controller goes solid.
I have some lights plugged into one of the channels.
They lights are not turning on or off at all.

Does any one have all the d-light control firmware. Tried to get it from d-light site, and only has the latest.
I think this maybe my problem, because I updated to the latest version (could of been a mistake.)
