Default FM Transmitter

Hi,

I decided to buy a FM transmitter from China, in preference to using a Belkin or another IPOD style transmitter. The unit I purchased off ebay was rated at 200 mW, and has the follow specs:

Frequency range: 87.5MHz ~ 108 MHz
Tuning Step: 100kHz
Transmit Power: 200 mwatts(Cover about 150 meters)
Stability of Frequency: ±10ppm?-10?~+50??
Ripple or harmonic waves: <= -60dB
Modulate Frequency error:<=75KHz?100%?
Freq. Response: 100~15000Hz
Antenna Connector: SIP
Audio Input Connector: SIP
Power Supply: 12V DC (The current load of power supply should over 2A)

I trialed the FM transmitter today, and with 2 metres of light hookup wire, taped to my study wall, I was still able to hear my music 800 Metres away (about 2 blocks). Clear Line Of Site improved reception as I noted I lost coverage as I droven down in a gully, and improved as I came out of the low area.

the Shipping is a bit expensive, but for speed and function, I highly recommend. (maybe go in with a couple of buyers and split the costs).

It looks like a good deal! How much was shipping? I assume is is PLL enabled? The Ramsey FM25B is $140 unassembled.

I feel like two blocks is plenty of range for our purposes.

If a group shipping rate can be found I would probably go in on one.

I too would be interested if a group could be put together.

Is that the only shipping choice? At the bottom of the blue area there is a another shipping type

I have emailed them to see if we can get a multi piece discount for shipping. I will let you know. If it all works out I dont mind placing the order and then distributing them once they arrive. They seem to be fairly small so shipping should not be very much.

A group buy may be better direct. (if you can buy from them and read the page. )
