Will try to release a version with exception/error reporting so we can see why it failed..

Finally had some time to test your app and it works great! Thanx a lot for your work.

Motorola Atrix (Gingerbread 2.6 - Stock, rooted) => works fine
Viewsonic Gtab (Honecomb - Flashback mod) => works fine
wanted to upgrade anyway, so I put ICS on the Gtab (Team DRH Beta 1.3) => works fine
Toshiba Thrive (ICS 4.04 rooted Mod with Adhoc Patch) => works fine

Tested different Universes, all and indiv. Pixels, no problems.

Great job, this will be very helpful in a few weeks :thup2:

Re: Android APP for testing sACN (E1.31) devices

Tested it on 2 devices icw E681:
- ASUS TF101 Transformer running Android 4.0 Perfect! Only 'autorotation' isn't working
- Samsung Galaxy Y running 2.3.x.? Isn't working perfect. The last 2 sliders (green and blue) aren't functional anymore because they are outside the window...

Nice and easy app to test your outputs.

Hey,

The autorotate is disabled on the app. I need to manually create a different layout for each orientation.

In the same line, the missing sliders might be due to an incompatible layout for the device screen size.

I will try to create more layouts for different screen sizes and orientations.

Thanks for the feedback.

no, it shouldn't have to be, your android does need to have wifi access to the same network as the E1.31

Take your time.... As for my Asus-pad, it has a keyboard attached and therefore it would be nice to autorotate the screen. As for my phone, it's just the cheapest droid phone overhere Galaxy Y-xtra small orso.... Thanks for your work!

Emmanuel,

Thanks for this app. I am using it to test things after setting them up outside.

One thing though, is it possible to display RGB values? I would like to use this app to determine RGB values for the colors I want.

I don't think my wireless router is passing the Multicast on.
I verified that my ECG-DR4 is getting multicast using xLights, but not getting any lights or activity from my DroidX.

any suggestions? Asus RT-N66U router.

any Ports that would need to be open?

I downloaded the app to my Nexus 7 tab and seems to run but no activity on my e1.31 system. I'm able to use my laptop running xLights test connected on the same wireless system. I also changed the WAP to Apple Airport extreme with the same results of the PC is able to controls the e1.31 and the Nexus 7 does not. Any troubleshooting suggestions? Great looking app and sure will be nice to get it running. I currently use RDP from the droid to control my show PC.

Same for me. Looks great on screen. Displays the correct IP address for my DroidX phone. Just never seems to make it thru the router. I changed a LOT of things trying to get thru to the point of killing internet access at one point. :( If anyone knows a specific port that must be open, let me know. I tried 5568 (it is listed in the LOR network settingss)

Hi,

I am sorry to hear some devices are not running the data. I am not sure if it is related to specific devices or the routers. Some routers have an option to enable/disable multicast on the Wifi connection. Also please check on the device manufacturers site to double check if the device has multicast capabilities, not sure if all devices are or not. Also please make sure you are selecting correct universe for your system.

One way to see if the device is generating the data is to use the sACNview software. Install it on your PC to watch if the data is being communicated thru your network.

I tried this on two tablets and it is very nice. On both tablets however I was unable to get any response from my lights in pixel mode. This left me a bit puzzled.

It is great the way it is, although after playing with it I did want some way to bring up a multi-channel scene.

Thank you for sharing your work.

Hey nuelemma,

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction with outputting E1.31 data? I would like to be able to emulate your android app using HTML5, PHP, javascript, etc. I'm currently working on a project that will allow my visitors to control channels with the Renard protocol via serial protocol and have that working. I would like to dab in E1.31 control but don't know where to start. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
