Android APP for testing E1.31 devices

Hey,

When I coded the App, I actually bought the sACN (E.31) standard document from PLASA website. The document is really easy to follow and understand.

Please check this post announcing the release of some standards for free.

Yeah ive got a lot of reading up to do.. think I would have to use php socket streams to interface with e131.. never initialized udp packets before... this should be interesting.... :)

Been using your app to test my lights while walking around my yard, thanks! Did you ever make any updates to it? Any thoughts about adding unicast support?
 
Hey, sorry I did not made any updates to it. I can take a look at the unicast request, probably a few changes here and there. Will need to review the Java to see how to integrate the unicast. At the beggining my controllers where only multicast, and I did not had a way to test unicast. Now I have some unicast hardware to help with testing. Will update the post If am able to come up with something.

I turned off the site long time ago. I will try to find the app for you. I should have a copy somewhere. But not sure if that will still work with modern versions of Android.

:) Got a notification on my email about this thread. I am not as active as in 2013 but still login from time to time.

Will try to find the website copy, the file should be there. If I find them I will try to use some free hosting service. And update the links.
