Garage door matrix 50x24

Trying a 8x4 foot 50x24 pixels matrix for the garage door, due to HOa I’m limited to what can be done, goodby megatree.

Going to use one of the pixel node net as the grid for the 1200 pixels.
If I use 50 node strands going up and down, that’s 48 pixels, what do I do with the other 2?
Leave the last 2 out of the grid?
Leave the first and last ones out of the grid,
I guess I could cut the last 2 pixels out of the strand, leaving 48 remaining, buts some work and reattaching connector ends. Or just cut 4 out of the 2nd strand of 50, leaving 96. That would 1 channel.

Does it matter what bottom corner is number 1?

I’ll be using xlights
Im thinking of putting 4 columns of lights, 96 pixels used, 100 there, per output port on the controller, 1 up 1 down, 1 up 1 down, Alphapix 16.

What’s the best way to tackle this?

Thank you
Tom

What type of pixels are these? Why would you want to cut the last two out? I still have some flickering issues but I am working on a 8x 20x20 matrixes in a 4x2 arrangement for the garage door. So 3200 LEDs. I use a Falcon controller and xLights for the design. xLights is very flexible as you can define how each matrix, how the stripes go like zig-zag, up or down, horizontal or vertical, etc.

Also before cutting anything, make sure you know how the data flows. In my case, each of the 20x20 matrixes is basically one long 400 string. The date goes along one line, then it comes back and goes down the next line. So there are 4 wires. One wire is just going back. So I couldn't just cut out one LED without doing some serious rewiring.
