Have any of you ?

Maker Lab, a sub of Maker World, has an AI Scanner sub that your supposed to be able to import a video as you walk around an object. I've never tried it but I hear it works. I've read that a motorized turntable works better because you can limit camera shake.

I have used an AI program that converts a 2D picture into a 3D model, which you can export to an STL. I've only used it for low detail cartoonish scans though. That's how I created the Alligator, posted in another thread.

Honestly, photogrammetry has gotten really good lately - AI has helped a lot

Good software can do a pretty impressive job. I use Artec Studio, and it builds great 3D models from photos. It does take some time to process, but the final quality is really solid. The only real downsides are that you need a powerful Windows PC, there’s a bit of a learning curve, and the price is around €40 per month
