Help with channels turning on out of sequence

Hi,

I have 3 SS24 and a SS16 daisy chained. When most channels on the third SS24 are lit, some of the channels are turning on on the SS16.
So far I have checked my mapping in Vixen, checked the jumpers and change the cat5 cable between the two controllers. No luck. When addressing channels on the SS16 they work as expected. They are only about 15 feet apart, but I had to use a 75feet cable between the two.
If anyone has faced a similar issue and can share a fix or any suggestions to fix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas !!

I haven't seen issues like this personally in years. Have you used these controllers before without the issue or are these new builds(or bought 2nd hand?).
The last time I saw the issue I think we had to use small line cleaners on the main power cords to clean it up but eventually changed the model of triac we were using to totally get rid of the issue.

Anyway, first thing I would try is make sure on both controllers that the main power in is a good solid connection and make sure there isn't anything on the board (dirt, rust, etc) that could be causing an issue. I would probably reseat all the ic's real quick (its amazing now many issues that can resolve).

Depending on the version of the triacs it could also be a load issue. You can try plugging it an incandescent light bulb into one of the flickering channels to see if the issues go away.

Keep us updated if anything works or not.

Thank you Chris for the suggestion. Its the first time I am using the controllers, but i had tested each on them individually without any issues. They were all purchased from senior forum members here (people who know what they are doing unlike me 😊).
I will try reseating the IC's on the board to see if it helps this weekend and report back. I did not follow the comment about line cleaners on the main power line.

Are you using standard Renard firmware? How did you configure in Vixen? What is the FPS or time slice you are using to send the data?

First off Thank you for all the suggestions. I was able to solve the issue. The U5 receiver IC on the SS16 was causing the problem. Based on Chris's comment I was thinking about checking the triacs when it struck me that i had removed the U4 IC as this was the last controller in the chain and the head of the chain had a wifi adaptor but no U4 as the previous owner had a wireless adaptor per controller. I guess i somehow unseated the U5 which caused this issue. Once I removed and put it back in straight the issue was fixed.

Thanks again all.
