Lynx Express Boards

HI Everyone,
I am repairing one of my Lynx Express boards and was looking for the actually lynx express v3-5 documentation but they diy light animation site is gone. I am wondering if anyone here as this assembly documentation.

wow, crazy that site went down. It used to be so active...

Google found the document in the wiki here on this site, but the wiki has been disabled. Perhaps an admin can retrieve it and get it to you?

Otherwise I use Lynx Express and can try to help (although I don't believe I have the manual saved off)

I took some pictures of both sides of the board and Claude analyzed the pics, and put together some points for me to test with. Currently I have 1.4 VDC to pins 1 and 2 on the MOC3023 but nothing on the AC side. I have replaced the TRIAC already so I am thinking I have a broken trace or a bad resistor.

I will reach out to the Admin and see if I can get the docs.

Is it just one bad channel? Does the channel indicator LED come on?

I have a board that, a few years back, just stopped controlling AC at all, for all channels. The LED indicators worked properly, but AC didn't work at all. I was perplexed, and ended up finding another used board to replace it.

When I went to swap out the board, I tried the original one once again, and... it worked fine.

The only remaining issue, and it's done this since it was brand new: if the power gets cycled rapidly, it will have the exact same symptoms: (channel LEDs light appropriately but no AC power at all). Hitting the reset button springs it back to life. I have no idea why this would be as I'd expect the indicator LEDs and the optos to be wired in parallel, but I've never analyzed the circuit.

FWIW my 2 LE's were used to control my driveway candy canes, which are being replaced with pixel ones this year, so they're kind of losing their job.

I found the problem. I had lifted a trace accidently when removing the Triac. All good now.
