I have found some slip rings on ebay for $25 that are two wire 15 amp rated to 250 RPM.

Yeah same one I found. There is a box on the left side that when you search you can filter the search by dollar amount, using $15 ~ $30 shows many slip rings.

By the way I'm using the Xbee Pros this year to transmit the data for the Renard controllers and using the slip ring for power only. Just FYI.
