Here's my take on the candy cane machine which toozie21 made a couple of years ago. I had planned to decorate it a bit, but time slipped away. The kids find it pretty exciting!

This is now on my 2021 project list. I commented on youtube but do you have a list of the electronic parts and how they all interact? Also, is that simply a spring supported by a pvc pipe that eventually drops the candy cane into the shoot?

I updated youtube to have some links, but I'll put them here too:

These are the motors: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1129108956.html

These are the coils: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15-Count-S...-AP-Snack-Vending-Machine-1-Coil/223346232310

Here's the controller I made: https://oshwlab.com/garymullen/candy-cane-controller-2

I used this buck converter to go from 12v to 5v: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQGMOKI

I need to cleanup the arduino code, but I'll do that and then upload to github and share that too.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

Nicely done, looks great!

Mine is still going strong and is a big hit. We even used it for Halloween this year with Halloween candy canes to keep some distance from the kids.

Have you posted your code to a github location yet?
