Well it happened, the heating element opened and I don't have a replacement on hand.
Checked Circuit Specialist for a replacement. They have the whole wand for $19+ shipping. I imagine that will run at least $30.
A replacement wand from them is more than half the cost of the 3DLF station which they have discontinued. I might as well buy the CSI premier station a 75 watt job $59 +shipping.
But since I'm a cheap skate I'm trying to find just the heating element for the unit I have. Or a less costly 28V 60 watt wand that will replace the one which came with the 3DLF.
Not sure if the replacement wands on ebay for the HAKKO will work with 3DLF unit. All I have seen are 24V 50 watt replacement irons and not sure what type sensor they have in them.
