Displays not showing up for sequences

I know before when we started a new sequence all the display would show up on picture but now for some reason they do not show up. Some times they show up when the effects are turned on but only that display. Any one else having this problem or is there a fix to this.
Thanks for any help.
 
Agree with Mike Krebs. Elements don't show in sequencing screen until you preview the sequence. They do show in the setup preview screen.
