DIY Christmas Web pages do not display properly

Some people have mentioned that they are having an issue seeing this site's web pages display properly. I am having the same issue and had been using my tablet to access the site. Well, there is a reason for the issue AND a work around for it.

Reason:
  • Google Chrome has increased the default security in the browser to block "Mixed Content"
  • Mixed Content is a condition in which some of the files loaded by the web page come via a secure connection (HTTPS) and other files come over an insecure connection (HTTP). Our site does this for many of the css files and other supporting information.

Workaround, Hack:

    • Click the lock (caution) icon in the URL bar, this brings up a menu
    • Click Site settings. New menu pops up
    • Scroll to Insecure content, then use the drop-down list to change ?Block (default)? to ?Allow.?
    • Reload the VEC page.
