I am looking at building my own system using 12mm square pixel strings. I am curious of what the spacing is with the Govee and Trimlight systems? They seem to be a larger spacing than I think they should be. I would purchase the pixels from Raywu. My intent would be use this system with various patterns or scenes throughout the year and add it to my show during Christmas. I would most likely use some sort of off the shelf controller during the year and use a ESPixelStick at Christmas unless there is an easy way to use the pixelstick stand alone the rest of the time. I will have to do some more research into controllers.
