Edit word in "Create Animation Effect"

I am working on "Monster High", at one point in the song, they sing "wa, wa, wa" which the vocal editor show as 6 phonemes each "wa" instead of two. What has happened is that the vocals editor has spelled each letter. Can we have a way to change the word phonemes manually in the Create Animations box so that we can erase the incorrect block of phonemes and replace them with the corrected sounds by deleting the incorrect block, re-selecting the block and using the space bar to insert the corrected word.
