Which ESP32 module is the intended target for the v4 releases in place of the ESP8266, if any? ESP32 vs S3 vs ???
 
Not near my computer at the moment. However, there are 15+ ESP32 platforms currently supported by V4. No one has asked for a 32S platform yet. It would be trivial to make one. Did you have platform in mind? In the source code you can see the platform setups in the platform_definitions directory.
