ESPixelStick Firmware version

I dug out an old ESPixelStick board v1.1 I bought many years ago when I was first considering getting into this hobby, and i was wondering if I can install the latest ESPixelStick v4.0-beta5 firmware on that v1.1 board or i must stick to the v2 firmware?

Hmmmm..... First thing I'd check is if your eeprom is big enough to store the program.

no you cannot. the minimum esp01 version is the esp01s.

If it's the hardware V1 or V2 version then you can run the V3.2 of the software...
