First Thoughts: Pebble Pixels + Poppers + Boscoyo Chroma Star

Just got my shipment from Ray including my first time working with Pebble pixels. I can't speak to how well they work from a reliability perspective, but I did want to pass on a few things to the rest of you who might be like me, considering pebble pixels/popper usage.

1. Ray offers Pebble that I believe are a thicker wire that others (20awg)
2. I honestly don't have experience working with Choro shapes and standard bullet pixels, but I am impressed with how light these pebble pixels are. One of the biggest advantages of using Pebble seems to be weight
3. The poppers don't work very well. The Pebbles appear to be too wide to be grabbed by the poppers. This allows the pixels to slide forward if you have extra wire in the back. I'm going to need to find a way to secure these better. And I'm hoping someone designs a better popper that works with these pebbles. Most of them don't move, but I'm going to consider just gluing the pebbles to the poppers.
4. For the Chroma Star I used Pebble pixels with 15cm spacing between. That's too much extra. 10cm would have been better.
5. Ray (as usual) cut my strips to my requested lengths, but the connectors used were much smaller wire gauge than on the Pebbles themselves so I decided to cut them off (wanted to inject power at the end anyway)
6. I also bought a bunch of Ray Wu connectors to help me with power injection and such. On the Pebble pixels the wire with white dots was voltage, but with Ray's connectors the wire with the long dotted line was not. Be careful to check the pin-out when using his connectors.

I think it's a shame to see Ray Wu hasn't edited all his listings for the name change.
Pebbles are these: https://www.creativedisplays.com/catalog/rgb-lighting/minleon-rgb-lighting/
Seed pixels are what is being refereed to here. Good news is Ray has listed his new listings as 'seed pixels' (the new RGBW ones).
Not your fault for misleading names :).

The seed pixels are awesome for their weight and size. I got 6,000 of them for my mega tree and coro props.
The adapters to fit 12mm bullet pixel holes is cool but a lot of work and adds extra cost. Repairing seed pixels is not soo easy with their thin wire.

Those look nothing like pebbles imo .

These are pebble pixels --> x

It doesn't appear that the Chinese Manufucturer's agree with you .
It appears to be Ray Wu/Rita-Lighting that has naming issues.

Pebble pixels:
ETOP sell the actual pebble pixel:

and other vendors:
China:
Outside of China:

Seed pixels:
KNOWSHINE sell them under seed pixel: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006258147113.html
Ray Wu has started naming them seed pixels (he hasn't edited his old listings naming them pebble): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006699941673.html

Then there's vendors outside of China;

Yeah , I found the seed/pebble pixels designation totally confusing on Ali express .

Thanks for the links .
