Interesting power supply failure

Anyone know what this might be?

Wired Watts 5V power supply, not a Meanwell. I think it might be moisture-related. When I plug it in, I get a really loud sound--at first I thought it was the fuse blowing. Except it keeps "blowing" over and over again, probably at 60 Hz. Repeated loud pops, maybe sounds like a tesla coil. It does NOT trip the GFCI at all, but the fuse on my extension cord did blow. My pixels were not hurt in the slightest. I never quite figured out how to open up the chassis to look at it, so I just chunked it (but recycled the screws on the screw terminals--sometimes I lose those on other power supplies). But I'm curious what kind of failure this could be? The loud noise still happened even after I was sure it was 100% dry, but I think wetness might have first caused it. Not sure.

Is there a place where condensation could plausibly cause a tesla-coil effect between the hot and neutral AC wires, inside the PSU?
