Is there anyone with an ESP8266 controlling a display running 2801/2811 or similar leds ? I would like someone to do a beta test.

Do you mean like with WLED? I have strings here. You can do E1.31 or MQTT (probably not very fast refresh rate).

What are you wanting to try? I have 8266 and ESP32.

You can do the same thing loading up WLED and configuring the E1.31 listener. I have tried it, and it does work. But it was on an 8266 and was a smidge "laggy" with the music. I have not tried with the ESP32 yet. It was with a single string of 50 5V pixels.
