Mixing and Matching

I am working towards getting my Grinch and SSR PCB's assembled. I have it in the back of my head that I would like to add some other components to run specific items, i.e. mega tree or mini tree farm, leaping arches, whatever...Firegod and the Renards seem to be viable options. My questions is this, To make my Grinch dimmable I will have the RenT to RenC to a Grinch or 2. The serial port (printer port) will go to the Rent. If the RenT is already occupying the port, how will the Firegods PC interface fit in the mix? Is it as simple as adding another printer port?

Vixen will make good and effective use of multiple serial ports, so all that you need to do is add another serial port (USB-RS232 converters usually work well).

Okay so USB is defianately an option. I guess I was just hung up on the fact that it HAD to be a printer port. I can do USB.
