Christmas Nutcracker motorized display
This motorized scene was my lovely wife's idea. She designed the figures and painted them. The concept of the 4 by 8 stage and spar varnishing it was her idea also. I figured out how to motorized them using a wiper motor and galvanized pipe. We did have a problem at first with the wind but after redesigning by putting the 1/2 inch pipe inside a 1 1/2 pipe and mounting that larger pipe to the platform using a floor flange they really became very stable and even made it through a recent storm with 35 mph winds.
