Ray Wu connectors

Newbie here. I'm wondering if I can use a Power Tee with 13.5 Ends (Ray Wu) to connect the ends of my pixel light strips so I can make room in my controller. I got ahead of myself by creating the pixel strips all the same way. Now I'm trying to save time by using a power tee to combine two pixel strips instead of tearing apart the strips and restringing the pixels.
 
If you solder on 13.5 mm pigtails on each strip. Ray used to sell two different versions of the tees. One with v+ connected (for same power supply) and one with V+ disconnected (for separate power). Know which you have so you are using them for the right reason.
