Re-Mapping Question

Let's say I have 3 controllers... controllers 1, 2, and 3. If I need to re-map some items in controller one, when I unpatch the controller, do I need to unpatch all the controllers, or can I simply remap controller one and controllers 2 and 3 will be fine (assuming all the channels/universes have not changed).
 
I just did that very thing on a controller of mine in Vixen. If all you need to do is rearrange some patching on controller #1, you can unpatch controller#1 only and it will not change any patching on controllers #2 or #3. Again, assuming that you are not adding any channels/universes and just rearranging your patching on controller #1.
