Ren-C & Ren-T Connection Options

I have searched the forums and read all the WIKIs, but I still have a question about the options for using the Ren-T and Ren-C with the Grinch. The WIKI shows connecting the serial port on the PC to the Ren-T. Does this work?
If I use this option, is it a standard serial cable

Or.... is it better to connect the serial port to the Ren-C and use the Ren-T only for ZC? If I use this option, do I use the Renard standard DB9 to RJ45?

Thanks for all your help. This seems so simple, but the proper way to connect this is a bit confusing. If someone has a picture of the proper set up, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you have a ren-t it will convert your rs232 signal to a RS485. The way I had mine connected was to be a Ren-t -to- Ren-C -to- Olson 595/Grinch
