Singing Faces Color Selection

Hello, This is my first year doing lights, and I ordered a couple of the 46" singing trees from holidaycoro. These are the kind that takes incandescent or dumb led mini-lights. Are there any best practices for choosing colors for the trees? I have seen a lot of videos, some look better than others, but it is kind of hard to decipher the colors from the videos. I am thinking of using green for the outline, then blue for the eyes, and red for all the mouth movements.

I'm in a similar situation--I have a couple Boscoyo singing props which take mini-lights--but what I mean to do is find some 9mm bullet pixels and see if they fit. And if they do, no need to commit to any one color. Problem is, outdoor-worthy 9mm's are a bit hard to find.
