Solder suggestion

I need to order more solder get can't get Kester-44 63/37 .031. Is Kester 24 63/37 .031 good to use for circuit boards? The 24 is a little cheaper by about $18.

Not familiar with #24, nor could i find it on Kester’s web
Whatever you buy, check date code so you don’t get old stock and weak flux

The the "24" you have listed is "No Clean" solder. Meaning you do not have to clean up the rosin residue left behind. I have never used it but I know a lot of folks do.
 
MrGrumpy, is the one I listed okay to use? I never used no clean before so I wonder if it flows good?

245 is a great solder, and no clean is extremely helpful......cleaning is not my favorite part. I’ve used 245 at friend’s shop. Likely buy it next time

I haven't had trouble getting Kester 44 in various diameters from the major distributors-digikey, mouser etc?
I'm sure no clean is ok for digital stuff but it does leave a minute residue and IIRC is hygroscopic? We had some tiny signal analog boards that had to get ultrasonically cleaned afterward,probably not that common a problem but worth keeping in the back of one's mind.
