Just a reminder the TransWorld's Halloween and Christmas Show is coming to St. Louis March 19-22, 2020. If anyone is interested, tickets are still available. It is being held at the America’s Center in downtown St Louis MO. My wife and I went last year and loads of fun. We even ran into a few members from this Christmas community. Make sure you wear good walking shoes. We were down there for 4 hours one day. If we had time we would have gone back the next day.

If you think your megatree is great come see the monster mega trees in this building. Very tall and very bright! The Christmas side of the event is about a third the size of Halloween, but still worth coming out and seeing all the booths and displays.

Tickets are pricey though at $70 per person. The price is an early bird special. On March 9, the price goes up to $85 a ticket. But the show is a 4 day event and it is being held with the Halloween show. So both shows for one price! According to my contact at the show, there will be lots of free parties, mixers, demos, early bird seminars that are all included each day. The show floor is over 400,000 sq ft with 370 vendors and over 13,000 attendees. Go to Christmas one day and Halloween the next 😊

For our xlights users there are a bunch of one off classes and a 1 1/2 day course available.

At Transworld?

Nevermind. I just registered for Transworld and with that was able to see the classes and seminars available.

To make sure people are not confused:

The event in St. Louis is the Transworld Christmas Show. (March 19 - 22, 2020)
The event in Las Vegas is the Christmas Expo. (July 16 - 18, 2020)

FYI - I’ve already been asked, TWICE, if Christmas Expo is coming to St. Louis. :(

OK, sorry if I confused anyone. I was careful to include the name "Transworld" in my original post. Use only the links I provided in the original posting.
If you google or bing searched Christmas show you may be directed to a different expo.
Hope to see you there.

No problem Adam. The confusion was in the title of this thread. They are deciding if they want to go to Transworld (30 miles from us) or Christmas Expo (1,623 miles). I've opted for Transworld, even though Vegas looks like fun.

Just a reminder.... Only 3 weeks left to get the early bird deal on the Transword Halloween and Christmas Show.

Well now, you don't have to call me Adam. You can call me "Al" (as in "Allen" - the proper way of spelling it. )

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible at the Transworld Christmas Show!

I received notification that the Halloween/Christmas expo scheduled for next week has been postponed till a later date. They're taking proper precautions from the coronavirus. I'll update everyone as soon as I hear when its rescheduled.

The Transworld Halloween/Christmas Expo in St Louis has been rescheduled for March 4th-7th 2021. If you already paid for this years event and still want to go next year, you're already set. Customers who choose to roll their registration over will also be guaranteed 2020 prices in the event that any fees or prices for the 2021 show have to be increased.

If you want a refund, you'll need to fill out a form and submit it between March 24th - April 23rd at 11:59 CST. They will not accept refunds after April 23rd, 2020 and all registrations will then be automatically applied to the 2021 show. Please visit their website. https://www.twtradeshows.com/ for more information.

I know this was for last years event, but can anyone go to this event or do you have to be a company owner to go?

Hey DIYer's!
Just a reminder the
TransWorld's Halloween and Christmas Show is coming to St. Louis May 6-9 2021. It is being held at the America’s Center in downtown St Louis MO. Last year the event was cancelled because of the pandemic. If you bought tickets last year and still have them, you can use them this year. Make sure you wear good walking shoes, the expo is huge and there will be lots of walking. Face masks are mandatory.

Not tying to be negative Nancy but I'm hearing a lot of concerns over safety in the area of this expo. Anyone have any insight on this?

My wife and i went in 2019 and had no issues. We parked in the gararge next to the Americas Center where the event is held and walked a very short distance to the door. If you get there when the event opens the line will already be very long with people trying to get into the event. If you walk with other groups of people, you'll feel better. St Louis always gets a bad rap about about muggings and shootings, but this is common in every large city: Chicago, LA, NYC, etc. The majority of the crime you "hear" about is usually 2 or 3 in the morning. As long as you're not driving around at that time of night in the city, you should be fine.

If I went by the news reports, I'd never go near the place. I live 29 miles from the center (on the Illinois side) and drive over there all the time. To be honest, taking standard precautions such as parking in lighted areas, or better yet - in manned parking lots, and being aware of your surroundings makes a trip into StL just fine. I've felt the same anticipation in other cities all across the country.

But, when it comes down to it - your feelings are what matters. We would love to see you come and have a good time.
