tie wrap thoughts

I have built 3 mini trees with mini lights attached with tie wraps. Each tree has about 100 tie wraps. I have not cut the tag end of the tie wraps yet. As I look at them all the tie wraps ends are sticking directly out from the mini tree. It kind of gives it a prickly look. Does anyone have thoughts on just leaving the tie wraps uncut? has anyone gone for the prickly look before?

nobody will likely see them in the dark. if visible when lights are lit, i would cut them.
