What are the preferred ways of ensuring chromatrim stays in line on long runs?

I have some sections of porch roof line that have longer than a single piece of Chroma trim.

Do people just butt them against each other and let them vary in angle or do people zip tie them together or fuse them to ensure straightness?

Overlap them so you have 4 zip tie holes instead of 6. Then zip tie through the holes.

They are intended to be mounted to 1/2" EMT or PVC. If you use that, you can just butt them up. I found that if I put a small screw thru the chromatrim and the pvc it will keep them lined up nicely. It also keeps them from moving around on the PVC.
