Nutcracker: List of new songs marked up for use in Projects

Is there a tutorial on building a project and using the marked up songs?
 
What is the process for getting the marked up songs from Github into Nutcracker 4.0.29 "songs folder"
I'm new to xLights/Nutcracker.
And how do I determine the artist version of song the mark up is for?
I have an Amazon Prime account so purchasing the songs is no big deal.

Found the file you mentioned but there were not any songs in the folder.
 
Huh. I found them in the folder Sean mentioned on my secondary PC, but not in the primary. I need to inspectigate this issue.
 
All songs should be installed in the program files(86) directory under sub folder songs. There should be a read every file in each song folder that gives link to the song

I guess I will have to try and uninstall xLights and reinstall it.
Sorry I didn't mention that my songs dir has no markups in it.
Could it be an issue with 4.0.29?

Well, shoot! I changed machines and did not have the songs subdirectories in the repository. Building releases has not included them recently.

I think there are 37 sub-directories under songs.

Next release will have them. I also am going to make a new tutorial on using
1) Audacity
2) Existing timing files in songs
3) Alternative way to create timing marks in xLights 4


prob will be released next week
 
You can go back and install the latest xl3 version. That will create the songs folder, then reinstall the latest xl4 version. The songs folder will remain, that is why some folks see and others do not, they had the folder from an older version. Folks just starting out or starting on a new machine will not see that folder until Sean fixes the release. I do not believe there has been anything new put in the songs folder for a long time.
 
if people want more songs, post the link to teh song and ill add them.
Now that the songs subdirectory is part of github, it will always be on the builds.

So any new songs?

PERFECT! That is what I have been searching for recently, I can't wait!
 
I am finally expanding the use of Nutcracker with my matrix. Can someone direct me on how to use the songs that are included with the xlights install?
Can I actually use the included files along with my own songs to sequence?
