Vixen 3.8 released

I'm old school running all LED string lights, no pixels with v3,7u.1.

Is there reason for me to update to v3.8 ?

In general, it's best to keep up to date with the released versions. Each major annual release (3.7, 3.8, etc...) will contain upgraded/updated base libraries. This improves general performance and helps to ensure compatibility with current versions and update levels of Windows. So you may not see many changes to how you sequence, or the effects and features, but the overall program should be a bit more stable and performant.

We work pretty hard to not break anything as we release updates. So it's generally safe to upgrade. Even if you don't notice any big differences, when you run into trouble and need help, it helps us if you're running the current version. And if you should find any problems, let us know and it will just help us fix it for everyone.

My only concern was after the update I lost my face mapping, any ideas?

What version did you upgrade from? There were not any changes around face mapping in that release.
