Christmas singing face sequences wanted. Will send free hardware in return

All of the sequences I posted last year are still available on post #20 of this thread.

BTW, if anybody is interested, here is this years show (terrible video... just can't figure that out!). If you're interested in any of these tree sequences, let me know.

Great job. I know I would be interested in your sequences and I am sure other people would be too. I am using xLights if that makes a difference.

xLights can import fseq files but I guess it is not very easy. The model mapping has to match up and then you can modify it afterwards. So I guess for me this isn't really an option then. But thanks anyways.

Hi Chris!

Thanks in large part to your sequences I won "Best Animation Lighting" for our development of 2500+ homes! I think I was the only one using a "real" system for animation this year.

I was able to shoot some video and cut it down to a sampler version of under 5 minutes. I used the Jingle Bells (Smith version) as well, but couldn't get the audio to sync up win windows movie maker so I had to leave it out.

Thanks again and I look forward to borrowing more of your work next year!

Merry Christmas

You are most welcome! Glad I could help. If you shoot video of your display, please shoot me a note letting me know where I can see it.

Chris

Great job, Allen! Thanks for posting a video.

My wife and I were watching together and just imagining the potential of your house's layout. You have a great canvas to work with. I look forward to see your show as it grows.

A bit off topic, but I like your Tune To sign :thup2: What font is that?

TuneTo1a.jpg

Actually like your better w/ the slight curve to the lettering.

And great job on the sequencing too!

For pixelpuppy; here are this years' sequences minus the Disney Mix and the Oldies Mix (I selfishly keep those to myself for the 1st year). If you're interested in last years 70's mix, let me know. Personally, I think my favorite this year is Hallelujah by Pentatonix. I really like how it came together. I'll be done with the singing trees for "The Restroom Door Said Gentleman" hopefully this weekend (it was a last minute addition).

I used Vixen 3.4, so the updated profile is also listed below. Hopefully this works the 1st time!

Also, as I mentioned in my PM, I'm using Vixen this year to program my P10 Matrix instead of Xlights... So that's what the weird screen on the left side of the display is. Vix 3 is handling it just fine.

Do you have fseq files for these sequences? xLights will open those.

Haven't created those yet to import into the Pi Player... I'd be curious to know if Xlights could actually see the data in a usable way. Gimme a few and I'll export one of them so you can take a gander at it and see if it works.

That won't work for fseg files from a different layout than your own. FSEQ is raw channel data and importing into xlights from vixen is only meaningful if its your vixen layout importing into your xlights layout (both having the same elements/models on the exact same channels.

And there ya go!

So it opens in xLights but I don't see anything: no music and no effects. If I open up a fseq that xLights created and is mapped to my layout then it is great. If it is not my layout then it gives me the option to map props so would still work. With your file I didn't get anything so I guess it is too different between Vixen and xLights fseq files to do anything. Oh well, worth a try.

Hi all. New to the site. Have downloaded and unzipped popo's new profile. Have 3.4 Vixen setup to go. I've created a new profile and we are having trouble getting his profile to load on my program. Would anyone have a step by step instructions on getting this to work? Chris and I have chatted some with no luck. Awesome stuff Chris!!
thanks

Is there anybody that can help Curt out? I was unable to figure how to import somebody else's profile.

I am working with him offline. I would also like to get with you about pruning some dead stuff out of that profile to make it easier for folks. It is huge size wise and several hundred meg can be trimmed from it.

Any suggestions you have; I'm all ears!

Thanks for working with Curt on this as well.

Up and running. Awesome program. Looking forward to learning all about it. Thanks Jeff for the info! Thanks Chris for the sequences! Very cool.
